Meet Mrs. Kate Hails, the vibrant Strings Teacher who spreads the joy of music across Warwood, Madison, Steenrod, West Liberty, and Woodsdale. Hailing from Beaver, PA, Mrs. Hails is deeply rooted in family life, sharing her home with husband Bryan, son Max (a proud 7th grader at Warwood), and four fantastic stepchildren – Sydney, Logan, Rick, and Natalee. The family is complete with their poodle, Brizo, and two feline companions, Pumpkin and Simon.
Kate's educational journey began at Beaver Area HS, followed by a Music Education degree from WVU and a Master in Secondary Education from Marshall University. Her dedication to excellence is evident through accolades like the 2020 WV ASTA Strings Classroom of the Year and the prestigious 2024 WV All State Middle School Orchestra Chair.
Beyond the classroom, Mrs. Hails cherishes the sense of community at Warwood School. For her, it's not just a workplace; it's a vibrant hub of shared values and support. When not orchestrating musical magic, Kate enjoys cheering for the Steelers and Mountaineers, immersing herself in a good book, exploring new destinations, spending time on the water boating with friends and family, and relishing moments with family and friends.
A die-hard fan of Billy Joel, Mrs. Hails has attended six of his concerts, including a memorable New Year's Eve performance in 2020 in Florida. Her love for Latin classes during high school, thanks to Mr. Signore, adds a unique touch to her educational journey.
